Westland Named One of the Most Active Housing Markets in Metro Detroit

The housing market in Westland, MI is on fire! With an influx of new residents and a shortage of available housing, the city is experiencing a hot housing market that shows no signs of slowing down.

Crain’s Detroit recently released a news article titled “Location, Location, Location”, written by Nick Manes, listing Westland as one of the hottest markets in Metro Detroit. Data from the research department of Real Estate One Inc. shows that since June of 2022 there has been over 600 closed housing sales. August – September of 2022 had the highest average Selling Point at $215,178, with 74% of the houses sold in those months being at or over asking price and having an average days on market rate of 16 days.
